Leadership
Our History

Heartland Development Group, LLC (HDG) is rooted in a legacy that spans more than a century. The story begins in 1914, when Martin M. Wohl, a first-generation builder, began developing affordable housing in Jamaica, New York. His work laid the foundation for a family tradition centered on creating quality housing and strengthening communities.
Today, that legacy continues through the fourth generation. Led by Martin Wohl, the family carries forward its commitment to quality development and community impact. Founded in 2014, Heartland Development Group builds on this legacy by developing and managing real estate opportunities throughout Florida.
With a hands-on approach to both development and asset management, HDG focuses on responsible growth, long-term value, and strengthening the communities it serves - continuing a proud family tradition into the future.
